Mike Hetland
I am a lifelong resident of the Racine area where I currently reside with my wife Jessica and three children. I graduated from Park High School and then went on to the University of Minnesota to study Political Science and Economics.
My early career was in the medical equipment field; where I worked with hospitals and nursing homes to supply them with mobility and wound care products. I loved working with people but found myself not in love with the corporate hierarchy. I dreamed of doing something different- something that allowed me to be more independent. This feeling of wanting to be independent was really the start of my Real Estate career.
My journey into Real Estate started with a childhood obsession reading the “free” Real Estate books at restaurants and gas stations. (I know, I was an odd child) I toyed around with the idea of getting into real estate for about 10 years. I actually went to about a half dozen Brokerages for their career seminars over that time, but I just could not get myself to take the plunge. About 5 years ago, life’s circumstances allowed me a chance to finally start practicing Real Estate. For me, it was one of the best decisions.
I absolutely love helping people turn their real estate dreams into realities. From helping the first-time home buyer to the savvy investor, I truly enjoy all aspects and love getting to know my clients. You know you enjoy your job when almost all of your clients end up becoming your personal friends. I mean how cool is that? In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children; Madison (13), Noah (12) and Miles (5). We are involved in youth sports as well as being actively involved in the public schools. I'm also a die-hard Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan. ( A true Homer) In addition to this, I enjoy fishing and bow hunting, whenever I get a chance.
I welcome the opportunity to help guide you through the complex world of Real Estate. My two most cherished principles in life are honesty and kindness. I promise you will find those front and center in all of our dealings.
